I've been working hard and getting a lot of feedback from several different sources including here, an RPG/GMing discord, other writers, players that I ran a couple of campaigns through, and some long time friends that have GMed for 25+ years. With all of that, I have jumped back into finishing this up to complete my first rough draft PDF. I feel this is most of what I wanted to say so others could run a game. A quick list of features and what still needs to be done:

Character creation is sound.
Perks & Flaws add needed depth without forcing players into boxes.
The Deficiencies subsystem is something I'm particularly proud of. Has no real mechanics but the questions prompt lots of RP opportunities while reinforcing the themes of the game.
Character advancement has rules and guides that include different options for different styles of play. They are constructed to encourage character development with the flexibility to adapt to the campaign's needs.
Combat Actions are in plain English. Most actions have a common-sense approach so you don't need to memorize the list.
Full skill list and Preternatural abilities explained.
Finally included lists of the various weapon types and clean easy to reference charts.
Worked on the layout to be clean and straight forward. Went with an easy to read approach.
Things to improve:

The biggest and most glaring issue is the entire book needs an editor to walk through it. That was the feedback I got more than anything else. It is impossible to edit your own work. So, finding an editor is something I'll have to look into.
More lore needs to be added to explain the setting.
I'd like to add a section with Game Master Tools with world-building, what a sandbox game is, and how to build, encourage & run a character-driven game.
A more in-depth section on player advice. (we had some during character creation but not nearly as much as I'd like to have in it.)
A combat example.
Perhaps an index.
The link below is to a dropbox where you can view or download it. Please feel free to run a game with it. If you have any questions I'll do my best to answer them ASAP. Thank you all again for your feedback! -Keaggan RPG PDF LINK: Welcome to the Sticks RPG (PDF)
