Here is some basics. If you want more just ask but I'm going to be watching football pretty much all day so I may not be around. :D The system is basically the same from Hollow Earth Expidition if you know that game. It is a dice pool system that has attributes plus skill equals dice pool. It uses any type of dice because an odd number rolled is a failure and an even number is a success. On normal skills you can take the average (basically half of your dice pool) so there is no need to roll. Magic you have to always roll though. The dice pool though works the same. There are I think 8 different typoes of magic and each on is a trait that has to be taken at character creation. Characters get one trait to start with but can buy a sdecond trait during character creation. There is a side bar option of letting players start with two traits at GM's option. Magic is freeform though there are example spells. For each type of magic there is a table to act as a guideline so you know what a one success spell is like versea six success spell. The character needs to roll that many success to successfully cast the spell. However, each die that comes up a failure damages the caster. So, if the spell is simple and needs one or two sucesses the caster can choose to roll less dice then he has. That is a general overview, anything more specific you want to know?
