Have you seen the sniper prestige class in the Arsenal book from perpetrated press. Admitedly, it is designed for a more modern sniper, or a technomagical campaign with firearms. While it probably doesn't give everything that you might want, I think it is one of the best sniper classes I have ever seen. Requirments *BAB +5 *SKILLS: Hide 4, Move Silently 4, Spot 4 *FEATS: Point Blank Shot, Far Shot, Precise Shot, Weapon Focus (sniper rifle) HD: 1d10 SKILLS: Balance, Climb, Hide, Knowledge (Anatomy), Knowledge (Firearms), Listen, Move Silently, Repair, Search, Spot, Swim 2+Int bonus/level DAMAGE BONUS: when using a sniper rifle to make a full attack, the sniper does an additional 1 pt damage/sniper class level. Does not apply to creatures immune to critical hits. RANGE INCREMENT BONUS: The range increment for any ranged weapon used by the sniper is increased by +10 feet per sniper class level. This bonus applied after any multipliers for equipment or feats. CAREFUL AIM[EX]: at 2nd level, the sniper can gain a +1 circumstance bonus to his ranged attack rolls against a stationary target if he takes a full-round action to aim carefully. Only first shot fired after the full-round action used to aim gains the attack bonus. This bonus is not realized if the target moves more than five feet during the aiming period. There is no benefit for aiming more than one round. This bonus increases to +2 at 4th level, +3 at 6th level, +4 at 8th level, and +5 at 10th level. ONE SHOT ONE KILL[EX]: At 3rd level, the sniper can perform a ranged assassination attempt using a ranged weapon that deals hit point damage with which he is proficient. He can attampt this assassination out to a number of range increments equal to his sniper class level. The sniper must spend a full-round action to aim at the target (and thus usually benefits from his Careful Aim ability). If the target moves more than 5 feet during the aim period, the assassination attempt cannot be made. On the round after aiming, the sniper fires a single shot. If the shot hits, in addition to normal damage, the target must make a Fortitude save against a DC equal to 10 plus the sniper's class level plus the sniper's Intelligence modifier. If the target fails the roll, he dies. CRIPPLING SHOT[EX]: At 5th level, the sniper can make a crippling shot in exactly the same manner as an assassination attempt as described under One Shot One Kill. Instead of dying, however, a target that fails the Fortitude save becomes paralyzed and unable to act for 1d6 rounds plus one round per level of the sniper. ARMOR PENETRATION[EX]: This ability one really applies if armor is used as damage reduction. Ignore for most campaigns. Basically, after aiming for a round, can ignore 1 pt DR/sniper level. Stacks with penetration from other sources (eg weapons). TRUE STRIKE[SP]: at 10th level, the sniper can emulate the true strike spell cast by a cleric of his sniper level. This ability can be used once per day but only be applied to a ranged weapon. Obviously, this needs some modification for both 3.5 and a fantasy campaign. To me, I think the only real adjustment is to ignore ARMOR PENETRATION ability and replace references to firearms with ranged weapons or crossbows. Rather then doing "sneak attack damage", which I don't think really works for ranged weapons, this class specializes in the sniper motto...One Shot One Kill. skippy
