What kind of original curses (that won't bring Eric's Grandma's wrath down on my shiny new thread) exist in your game? Does your cleric swear on his god's lost hand? Is there a word with strange etymology that is a universal exclamation? ("Slaadiswort!") Share with the class! My game has a few that have been established... "Dexter's Nadlies!"- of course, Dexter Nadly is the Jesus-figure of the primary religion of the campaign world; you can read about his adventures in my Early Years story hour if you're interested (back before he was the Jesus-figure... when he was a villain!) (link in sig below). Typically used as a general exclamation of surprise or distress (much like many Americans use 'Jesus Christ!') "By the Sea Queen's teat!"- the Sea Queen being the most prevalent sea deity, known by a thousand names... it's an ocean world. This is usually used in a sense of wonder - 'By the Sea Queen's teat, that's a beautiful waterfall!' Almost always references water or living things when used. "By my dragon's horde"- used as an oath by dragon worshipers. The 'my' implies not that the dragon is owned or served by the worshiper, but rather the reverse. The implication is that you don't mess with a dragon's horde; you don't mess with this oath. 'By my dragon's horde, I'll kill you if you harm her!' "Boccob's eye!"- an exclamation used by Boccobites. Usually used to indicate distress; 'Boccob's eye, a beholder!' If I think of any more from my campaign, I'll post them...
