Dice cups?

Recently myself and a friend picked up dice cups and have been using them for gaming ever since. I really like mine, i can shove my dice bag inside for easy transport. Then it amusses me while i wait my turn in combat, i love rattling my dice around befroe i roll. I also find that since i started using it i spend much less time trying to find dice due to wild tosses.

So, my question is; Do you or anyone you game with use cups, or anyother kind of dice rolling device?

Once had a tray that was used for all the rolling, but it got too out of control as the group grew so it was abandoned.

I'm not really a big fan of cups. Someone brought one to the table once, but insisted on shaking it throughout the session until it got on everyone's nerves.

I have a friend who has CP and he uses a dice cup. If we don't have his dice cup, he takes forever to pict up the dieroll the dice.

That is actually intentional, you get the dm really agravated and he makes dumb mistakes!:D

Yes like adding up the damage from the fireball incorrectly and killing your character outright.

Or deciding you will be able to face the mature green dragon he rolled on the wilderness encounter table, even though you are 1st level.

At least these are the sorts of "dumb mistakes" I tend to make when players aggrivate me while I'm DM'ing.

ok, your dice roller kicks butt. The question is are they now or going to be for sale to the public?

yes, they currently are.. (i think i wrote about it at the bottom of the page)

they are $20 and shipping (usually around $4-6in the lower 48) and take me about a month to finish. i have a paypal account (alsih2o@midsout.rr.com) but no webpage or secure server. more and more folks on the boards have traded with me or purchased items, and i think everyone i have done business with will speak well of me (at least in the business regard :p )

i think if you ask barrend nobeard he will also tell you that that picture does not do it justice. it is very hard to get decent pictures of some of the work without great expense, and considering the time and materials in these i think it is obvious that making them entertains me more than it profits me :D my non-rpg work gets 5-25 times the money, but these tickle me.

"normal" sized dice do not all go thru the top, all minis do, and most normal sized dice do, the d20 doesn't however. i was throwing dice into the mouth until a friend pointed out dropping them thru the top.
