Eventually he came up with a tactic he calls "aura stealing" and I, with my knowledge of Dark Sun, call defiling. He makes a hollow sucking sound while pointing a cupped hand at the person whose "aura" he's trying to "steal". Call me crazy, but he rolls better after that, and the person he "stole" from rolls worse. Either that's a serious application of positive thinking, or... I don't want to think about the or.Oh, and the character I have in that game is a warlock. I roll better if he (IC) makes a brief supplication to the Dark Gods before I roll.
