I believe it is about 14 minutes into the movement, at least the section they used in the movie. Play it loud, though!

I am fairly certain the piece is actually named "Ode to Joy". They talked about it once on NPR. Apparently the guy loved the piece they played, but found the rest of the CD boring. I think it is also the official anthem for the EU.

Actually, Rackhir, you're right. "Bells are Ringing" is the title of later words that were set to the music, and is a colloquial "nickname" for the piece.

Good catch. That's what I get for going by memory; I don't think I've pulled out that CD in ten years or more... :\

Thanks.

I'm working on something where some player characters rob a bank and that music is playing when they crack the vault and then some schmuck of a balding, barefoot, arsekicking street guard shows up and ruins all the fun.

Yippie-ki-yay, foul knave!

Anyone who finds the 2nd movement of the 9th boring has no soul. The 4th is what most people are familiar with (it gets played in LOTS of movies), but the 2nd is my favorite!

We used to "jam" to it in college. Ah, those nerdy days gone by...
