I am going to try a different alignment system and I'd like some feedback. I have an alignment system where Evil doesnt exist. there is one scale. and two guides. The scale has two ends. 1)Lawful(Oppressive), my character will uphold contracts laws and obligation no matter the cost to individuials. 2)Personal(Chaotic), my character will uphold indivitual rights and freedoms no matter the costs to the "greater good." The guides are the core values of my characters. 1)Love, My character is driven to act by some love or desire, maybe gold, socity, a person or an ideal. 2)Fear, My character is driven to non action or reaction to avoid a fear, maybe an object, person or an ideal. 1)simply choose you location on the table, palidins to the left. Rangers to the right. 2)chose UP TO 10 loves, divide 10 points between them. Treat your loves as: 10-Obsessive.(You frame EVERY Decision with you love in mind) 6-9;Driven(You frame relevent decision with your love in mind) 2-5-Preferential(If your love is a choice you choose it) 1-interested.(You use your love a tie breaker or bonus on choices) 2)Chose UP TO 10 fears, divide 10 points between them, Treat your Fears; 10-Paranoid-You will flee or distroy all choices vs the most likly to hold your fear(even if all options Appear free of you fear) 6-9-Fearfull;any sugestion of your fear causes you to avoid or distroy that option. 2-5-Suspectful;If your fear is an choice you will avoid or distroy that option. 1-wary;your degrade options that incorperate your fear in decision. The table should be a guide for the DM of what a player wants for his character in the game. If the table should be used to deliver conflicts and reward for characters. Oh I lied, Evil does exist. Just stick the distruction of somthing in fear and the same thing in love, crank to 10.
