After learning the new digest-sized books in the upcoming Essentials line are basically formatted as one column/large text, I can't help but speculate that perhaps WotC had ebooks (at least partly) in mind when going with this Digest format for Essentials.
Also, I've heard news about pdfs/ebooks would be 'coming soon'.
It is pure speculation at this point, but what do you think?
