I just finished a wonderfully ridiculous game, and I have to share. Allow me to set the scene: My PCs started off battling a hydra that had been snacking on a triceratops corpse. During the battle the wizard animated said triceratops as a skeleton. (Not something I was expiating.) They eventually won the fight, with the triceratops skeleton intact. From there, they followed the hydra tracks to a village it had destroyed and eventually found the few surviving children hiding out in the nearby woods. Since they were headed to the capital city anyway, they figured they'd bring the kids with them so the children could start a new life. (Yes, they discussed this with the kids.) This eventually led to the party's sailor type character rigging up some hammocks in between the ribs of the skeletal triceratops for the kids to sleep in as they travelled. (Which is just a delightful visual.) While on the road, they came across a serendipitous planned encounter with a necromancer posing as a stranded traveller with a broken cart. She was, in fact looking to waylay the first group to help her by springing the skeletons in the back of her cart on them. She promptly took over the triceratops, with the kids lounging, and the panicking inside. The undead dinosaur charged after the party, flinging kids this way and that as it went. Good times. They party eventually won the day, with only the wizard falling unconscious (karma?), and a good time was had by all.
