I made one of these a mount for a sahaugin baron and his priest, following a group of minion guards up a town street. The slug got off a couple goo shots, the first of which was particularly effective. The aura and the slam also made life hard on the party warlock. The baron leapt down and waded into melee, while the priest stayed where he was and rained down powers on the group. The baron was brutal (the ongoing 5 damage from a simple claw attack was particularly nasty), and this very nearly ended in a TPK. I copied this image from Google, printed it out, and taped it to the front of 3 Jenga blocks stacked one-on-two to represent the body, making a 3x2 creature. All in all, this was a strong, challenging encounter. I used the following stats for the slug (some of the numbers may be a little off - I just winged them): Dire Slug Level 6 Controller - Large Initiative: 14 Aura: Puddle of Filth An area of 3 around the Dire Slug becomes difficult terrain. HP: 72 (Bloodied at 36) AC: 20 Fort: 20 Ref: 14 Will: 17 Speed: 4 Slam (Basic – At Will) +11 vs. AC; Hit: 1d6+4; Target is slowed until the end of the Dire Slug's next turn. Goo Net Spit (Encounter - Recharge 5,6) +10 vs. Ref - Area Burst 2 within 10 Hit: 1d6+4; Targets are immobilized until the end of the Dire Slug's next turn. Str: 14 Con: 19 Dex: 10 Int: 2 Wis: 14 Cha: 8
