DirecTV blows! (or maybe not?)

Wasn't sure whether to post this in here or the off topic forum.

This month they've apparently dropped the Sci-Fi channel and AMC from their Total Choice (ie, cheapest) package. Last month it was the Fox Movie Channel they dropped.

Grrrrrrrrrr. All 3 channels which I watch a lot. Wish I could get cable where I lived.



Edit: Or maybe not. It just came back on @ 3:19 my time. Weird. I was watching Ghosthunters Live!, then when it hit Nov 1st, it died, and I got that message about you haven't ordered that channel. Which was the same as FMC did last month.

Whew! I was about to cancel DirecTV.

While Direct TV has made some decisions in the past that I haven't liked, such as dropping Trio (which had some great specials like "Brilliant But Cancelled" and the making of Heaven's Gate), you can't really blame them for what happened to FMC. Apparently, Fox raised their price and Direct TV had to bump the channel to their premium package to offset the increased cost. That sucks since I loved FMC.

Well the next package up was only like an extra $5 a month. We picked up the Total Choice Plus mainly to get Boomerang for the kids. But there were other channels on there we watched occaisonally. It's still cheaper than cable for us though!
