[DireKobold] Adventure Snippets now available!

EOL

First Post
DireKobold.com Demo Subscribers now have access to free "Snippets" of all the the adventures which are only available to full subscribers. These snippets include the adventure background, one dynamically scalable encounter, and all the new OGC from the adventure (with a copy of the OGL of course). Snippets will be released for all future adventures, though with a lag of about a week between the adventure's release and the release of the snippet.

Also check out my daily web column "View from the Bushes". The New York Times called it "The worst thing to happen to the D20 community since 'Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor'"

Demo Subscriptions are free...

The only problem with View from the Bushes is that there is no Talkback forum. For instance, I wanted to laud you for your preference for Andrew Sullivan, my favorite blogger. Your equation of Helene Cixious with saltpeter was also quite amusing, although one wonders why only one of her books references the medusa...perhaps, Scratch of the Cockatrice is next...but no, the very name would send Helene reeling, while the contents would be no less petrifying to those who read them.

Hey, this is turning into my own blog....perhaps you're wise to resist the talkback forum. :)

I've addressed your concerns in the latest entry, but moslty I'm glad there are people who can still appreciate a good Cixious joke. :D

A couple questions on subscriptions:

1. When will you accept something other than paypal? Will I be able to make the transaction on your site, or through a third party? Is credit card the only method?

2. If I use a credit card for my subscription, is it automatically renewed after a year, or do I receive a notice and do so manually?

Sidenote: I'm much more likely to subscribe if I control whether or not it renews. Auto-renewals are known to many companies as "evergreen", meaning the "green" (money) never stops coming in... I understand auto-renewal can be a real time- and cost-saver, but I (and maybe others) am leary of it in general.

I enjoyed most of the material you offered during the beta - I'm definitely interested in subscribing, depending on the process and policies.

We will be accepting credit card subscriptions through RPGNow sometime next week ($19 for six months). Also you're more than welcome to send a check:

Since we'll be accepting them through RPGNow the credit card subscriptions do not auto-renew. Only our monthly and quartly PayPal subscriptions auto-renew and that's mostly because of the short time frame.
