Just in case you missed it... April 14, 2003 - DireKobold.com is pleased to announce the launch of our D20 Adventure E-zine. DireKobold will be publishing three new adventures a month each of which will be enhanced with the Xenogenic Publishing System(TM). Also at this time we are publishing the second installment in Wil Upchurch's acclaimed Adventure Path Series, "Chronicles of Anyaka: History's Horrors Are Often Buried Deep" available only to paid subscribers. Subscription Details: Subscriptions range from $3.50/month to $34.00/year and include access to all of the past adventures in the DireKobold.com archive. The three adventures will be published each month around the 5th, 15th and 25th of the month. Currently we are only accepting PayPal, but we will be accepting credit cards subscriptions by the end of April (if not sooner) through RPGNow.com. In addition to the full subscription we have introduced a Demo Subscription for those who want to try out a couple adventures before they commit. We are also introducing a new feature, an Editorial/Blog, titled "View from the Bushes". Xenogenic Publishing System: All adventures available through DireKobold.com are enhanced with the Xenogenic Publishing System. This allows you to customize each adventure to suit your particular campaign and adventuring party. Enter the number of characters in the party (from 1 to 12) and the average party level (over a range of 7 levels) and the Xenogenic Publishing System will automatically adjust the power and number of the monsters to match the strength of the party. Additional features allow you to choose the percentage of recommended treasure, the percentage of max hit points, and whether monsters ability scores are high, low or merely average. On top of everything already mentioned advanced options allow you to modify trap DCs, magic item scarcity and stat block format with more to come! Should you want to increase your level of control even further, all creatures are split into three categories: general, named and npc, and options can be set independently for each group.
