He was already experienced in the ways of firearms and was an excellent shot. Not only was he adept at military life, he enjoyed it, and enrolled in Recon school to further his training.</p><p></p><p>In Recon, he earned the callsign "Whisper" for his knack at getting around quietly, and his calm demeanor. During a two day leave just before graduation, he was at a bar with a handful of his fellow soldiers when a fight broke out. They attempted to break up the fight but tensions escalated, weapons were drawn, and before it was all over, three people were dead, two were paralyzed, and untold bones were broken.</p><p></p><p>In the subsequent trial, Whisper was court-marshalled for manslaughter and two counts of aggravated assault.
