While those chemicals do produce a reaction, it's nowhere close to the force necessary to blow up a wall or a cell door. The plan fails and it's a TPK at dawn.</p><p></p><p>Identical scenarios, with the key difference being whether the DM thought their plan should be able to succeed or not. It has nothing to do with the difficulty presented by the scenario itself. It would still succeed/fail if there was only a single bumbling guard and the cell had no warding.</p></blockquote><p></p>
