Discussing Worldbuilding: Why Don't The Mages Take Over The World?

Magic isn't hard to learn, many of the magical classes DON'T need to learn anything. </p><p></p><p>So while you can run a world where magic is impossible for other people to learn, and therefore there are only a small handful of casters in the entire world... that just isn't how DnD presents itself anymore.</p></blockquote><p></p>
