There are a lot of things AI is really good at, in the same way that there are things computers do much better than humans. We absolutely should be approaching it carefully and with intention and not just so that techbro oligarchs can get rich and build bunkers so they can ride out the apocalypse they created, but like any tool it is not in itself evil.This strikes me as pretty myopic. Just because people are clamoring for clicks on social media by pretending to covet handmaid items does not mean they themselves aren't using AI for a little bit of everything.As much as it is not the 80s anymore, it isn't the pandemic anymore and people aren't making their own paper and cultivating their own sourdough starters anymore. America is a short sighted consumer culture, so matter what influencers want you to believe (so you can consume the things they are advertising).</blockquote>
