Actual sales of handmade products are rising, as are craft magerials. conent creators (again, a category error if you think all content creators are influencers) are making a living off commissioned pieces, not on selling the work of others.  Many artists i know are selling more commissions and prints than they ever have before. More and more people despise and are rejecting generative ai. meanwhile, gen ai is the single greatest ecological crisis since industrialization. The progress of decades is being reversed in matters of months. communities are being robbed of clean water and affordable energy like it is 1925. Supporting gen ai and conflating it with all ai is about as short sighted as it gets.</blockquote>
