It was definately intended to be a 1HD to 1HD ratio in both cases, although taking Gryllen (yes, definately thinking mostly of him for the second, forgot the name) with swarm HD would probably make him too weak. But then taking them on an individual basis would make him too powerful, so maybe he just does not convert well. Then, again, sticking with just one template would make it easier to use creatures that have not been written up as swarms yet (stirges spring to mind).Could you clarify what you mean by less organised? I did spend a lot less time on that one, but I'm not sure if you referred to the template or my write-up of it.On the fence about giving the polythrope the one mind quality, so unless someone else gives a Good Reason for it being a Bad Idea, in it goes.And yes, this is one of only three series currently that makes me go 'Awesome'. Its a shame what I've heard about the U.S. cover art. But judging by the other books I've seen the U.S. rarely gets decent cover art on their books.</blockquote>
