DM in need of creative advice regarding PC shenanigans...

I'm looking for some creative ways to solve the following situation:

Last session, some of my PCs got a little rowdy while staying in the local Temple of Pelor in a major city.

To make a long story short, the party is escorting a noble in exile to safety while he raises forces to retake his estate. The party is staying in the temple because of some feats they did in the past make the Church of Pelor hold them in high regard (they killed a demon, and the Church of Pelor is helping coordinate resistance against the same enemy the PCs are up against), and assassins are about trying to kill the PCs and the nobleman (they stayed in an inn in the previous town, and an assassin suprised the party while they had no armor and almost no weapons). The party had reasoned the Temple would be a safer place to stay than a regular inn, or even the local palace.

Anyways, the infractions against the party include one of the PCs "deflowering" the noble while in the temple, while another picked a fight with an NPC wizard who promptly did some magic on him that resulted in late night streaking nude through the temple. (Don't ask)

I'm assuming that even though the Church of Pelor might be quite thankful for the past deeds of the party, Pelor might not look kindly on these shenanigans in his holy house. One suggestion I've recieved is that the offending PCs wake up with sunburns covering their entire body for one day, as a rather gentle reminder to respect the sanctity of the temple (the reminder is gentle, as Pelor recognizes what they did for his church in the past).

However, I am looking for alternate ideas as well. Nothing too serious... just things that might be... creative... :D

They have massive headaches for the next two days. -2 penalties to all saves, attacks, damages and they have to roll Spellcraft and Concentration checks all the time.

That should teach them. :p

I've already got the DM's Assistance Threads bookmarked :) I'm looking through those as well. I posted because a DM friend of mine said that I should just ask... and that the board would likely come up with many creative ideas... :)

I assume this was consensual? Otherwise if it counts as rape I'd expect the temple would want extreme sanctions against the offender, possibly including execution of offender & any accomplices. If consensual it depends on Pelor's view of sexual intercourse within his temple, and if the characters are same-gender it depends whether that makes a difference to Pelor. As Pelor's not Lawful he probably wouldn't be too bothered re any social-crime implications of deflowering a member of the nobility.

Have the high priest write a sermon about the sanctity of the church and the everwatchful gaze of Pelor that pierces even the darkest nights etc etc and then him invite them to sit in the first row for that service.

If a priest is wise enough to catch on to this misbehavior and doesn't immediately chuck them out on their rears, he'll probably give them an indirect warning where they do not lose face, but instead realize they are to act as pillars of a community.. something they were shirking in their naughtiness.

Unless of course, you actually want it to seem like Pelor is all about the sanctity of his churches.... then smite and burn away. Really though, it's doubtful according to Manual of the Planes, that Pelor was at that exact moment, looking at that exact church in all the churches of the multiverse that worship to him... and that it was of big enough issue that he opted to deign to paddle their tooshes. Personally, I wouldn't affirm that kind of behavior by having it pass the view of any sort of divine agent or the divine power himself. I'd simply have Mr acolyte who was walking in the middle of the night to get some milk accidently see upon the PCs in question, report to the cleric, and have the cleric deal with it as a cleric of a temple would do... templify! Preachify!

I'm a player in Valarian's game, though not one of the ones that was involved with said shenanigans. The two "encounters" were of mutual concent and even love, though the streaking incident was more purely some slight payback for some insults.

So, no rape took place. Valarian's just looking for something amusing to remind the PCs to behave appropriately for where they are. ;)

If you want to string off something a little different: Assuming they were hetrosexual, what would happen if the 2 lovers managed to concieve? In a temple of Pelor, no less... such a baby could be very different?

I mean, it's practically inviting Pelor to meddle? It does seem that fertility could well fall among his domains?

Besides, it's a natural consequence to that sort of activity isn't it?

Give a minor punishment to the streaker. The other person things they've gotten away scott free... until the morning sickness starts :)

I'd have the high priest of the the Temple of Pelor have a one on one sit down with the party's cleric. Clearly this priest does not want to fall in disfavor with the party, however there are certain modes of conduct that are expected from guests, let alone disciples of Pelor. A gentle, but firm reprimand will at least let the PCs know that this stuff will not be tolerated. The party's Cleric should be able to exert substantial peer pressure upon his comrades.
