I'm sure that one of the things that is intensifying this conflict is that Bob must sense, on some level, the contempt his "friends" have for him. The secondary point I'm trying to make here is that these people are fooling themselves if they think they have a a friendship here. What they have is a set of abusive relationships. Now, it may be possible to rehabilitate these abusive relationships back into friendships but, in my view, a precondition for that would be a level of emotional honesty neither side is displaying.</p></blockquote><p></p>
