Okay, the second time Big S was encountered HE AMBUSHED US! We were at the stairs to go down to another level and we heard sounds coming from down the stairs. Then we needed to make Will saves against fear. This time everyone made it. Then Bam Flamestrike and the next round was Cloudkill. Up to and including cloudkill we thought the effects were from the next level downstairs. We ran into the hallway to ESCAPE the cloudkill and whatever it was we thought was downstairs. What we ran into was 6 ghouls, a Barbarian named Marek, and Big S. Ghouls & Barbarian on 1 side of the hall and Big S on the other. We were in it thick. We didn't run away becuase we thought Big S would have been weakened from the previous fight. I managed to Turn the Ghouls and 1 member went after the Barbarian. I stayed in the middle of the hall shooting arrows at Big S. Another fighter went in to grapple him to keep him from using the wand any further. Didn't help much. Another member was trying to figure out how to use a Staff of the Woodlands to summon Unicorns. I had greater magic weapon cast on my arrows and bow and had Divne Favor cast also. It was a Strength bow +4 so there was my damage ability. by the way the DM in this game is a backup DM the other one is superb. Even in real life he is cranky and moody like he constantly needs a nap and coffee. This is the best group in my town, so far. I have posted for players on the gamers seeking gamers no response yet. Yes there were poor choices made and I was doing some drunken rambling in my first post. We were not warned to stay away from this guy, only the DM kept reminding us that the module was intended for a party of 6 3rd level characters. Oh well we did have fun anyway, it did have its moments. The Ring of the Ram was destroyed when we killed him along with everything but his crown and sword nothing else was left. His whole body crumbled into ash. Anyway I am not trying to rant. I am just giving details on the adventure we had.
