DMG 2 on Amazon?

I'm doing some of my shopping online for Christmas (and sneaking in a few D&D books with the purchase). Alas, when I go to get the DMG2, there's no option to buy it directly from amazon--only third party sellers.

Sorry if this is old news but I've been out of the loop... Was it delayed for some reason? Is it so good that there's just a shortage of supply right now?

In my experience, that usually happens when Amazon runs out of stock. I imagine it'll appear available from Amazon again with a week or three. (Haven't really paid attention in the past, so I pulled a number out of... thin air.)

Nope, it was sold out when I ordered it three or four weeks ago from an Amazon vendor. At least there's still enough competition the only price difference was shipping...

There was a notice up a few weeks ago saying that Amazon had received reports about faulty stock, and they were taking it down until they could fix up their stock. The sign went away, but the books dodn't come back on, so my guess is that they still don't have the replacement stock.

I had the same experience a few days ago while looking for the DMG 2. So I picked up a copy on eBay for ten bucks instead.

I received my copy of the DMG 2 from Amazon.ca on Oct 2....but I assume the .ca has different stock than that of the .com...

OTOH glad to see books selling out... I had to use Amazon.ca because my FLGS underestimated their initial order and sold out quickly.

This happened to me a month or so ago in regards to the second monster manual; eventually it got listed as purchasable again, but then the DMG2 (which I also wanted) got removed as purchasable.

Hopefully it'll come back.
