All:
We've been gaming in Hyboria (R.E.Howard's CONAN THE BARBARIAN) for a number of years. Back when all that existed was the Conan TSR RPG and GURPS: Conan, we had a lot of purity in our game. Simple rules were all that were necessary to 'get the feel'' in Hyboria using D&D. If any of you have any comments or thoughts, they are welcome.
That said, we seriously dislike the CONAN RPG game system. The Conan content otherwise is good. We use it only for reference for the Races and that's not really even necessary. Otherwise we simply use a couple house rules. The point of this post is not to go over why we don't require our players to buy and use the Conan RPG rules-set (that's been discussed enough already here), but is to go over this for DM's who would like to be able to use all that D&D stuff they own instead.
Comments are welcome.
