Message: <blockquote data-quote="tetrasodium" data-source="post: 9460012" data-attributes="member: 93670">I think that the point was that "new players" is a subset of players that is too small and ephemeral to carry that load.  A statement like "4e is great for a certain subset of wargamers∆ who like XYZ".  That subset of players was chosen for purposes of discussion but could reasonably be assumed to still be a valid as a descriptive labeling of those players after weeks months or years.  However "new players" is a subset of players that players will grow out of over time as they become experienced players.∆ Not trying to edition war or pigeon hole anyone with a label.  Mentally fill in whatever target group you think fits better if you disagree with that one.  I personally bounced off 4e but know it had fans and am not trying to classify them by giving a hypothetical example label.</blockquote>
