Message: <blockquote data-quote="Faerl'Elghinn" data-source="post: 3341021" data-attributes="member: 17810">I usually try to accentuate my characters by describing their attire from head to toe, although sometimes such details take a while to develop as their personalities truly begin to take shape and become unique (I'm a bit of a method roleplayer).I have a half-orc Barbarian/Sorcerer, "Schlugg," who wears nothing but a mithral loincloth on his torso, a +1 cooking pot on his head, and a pair of fur boots.  He also carries an owlbear pelt cloak for cold weather.  I also play a fairly unwise (7 wis) Fighter/Rogue (with no ranks in Spot, Hide, Move Silently, Tumble, and other must-haves, BTW) who wears a black eyepatch over his left eye (-2 spot), which is otherwise entirely functional.  Otherwise, he wears the standard fare of a brown or grey tunic, like-colored breeches, etc.  His name is "Black Aaron," and he calls himself "The land pirate" as he started his career (at 6th level) as a vanquished soldier turned bandit lord.My friend played a rogue who dressed entirely in black at all hours.  Nothing says "inconspicuous" like a guy who walks around dressed like a ninja all day...  I considered this a rather poor roleplay decision, actually, as his character was far from retarded, and he was a subterfuge-focused rogue.  IMO, the goal of such an archetype is to blend in rather than sticking out like a sore thumb.</blockquote>
