DnD on TV

Drawmack

First Post
I was just checking out gaming report and I found this: http://www.gamingreport.com/article.php?sid=9609

it's not playing in my area. You can find out if it's playing in your area by going to http://www.tvguide.com, clicking on listings, configuring it for you and then using their search feature.

My question is this. If it is playing in your area would you be willing to videotape it and send it to me (or dvd it if you have the capability to do so). I'd be more then happy to pay for the blank medium and the shipping. Please email me at tomender@ptd.net if you'd be willing to help me out here.

Having seen it... honestly, you're not missing much. It was in no way a 'feature show on D&D' as promised, but a 10 minute interview with Mary Kirchoff (VP of Publishing for WOTC).

The general gist of the show went. "Wow, this gaming thing is really popular. There's a lot of web sites about it isn't there? Yup, my kids are gamers too. Some people used to think gaming is evil, but it's not. Okay, thanks for coming."

Needless to say, I paraphrased a lot. :D But that was basically it. At least it kinda-sorta protrayed gaming in a decent light, and there were neither bible-thumping activists or basement-dwelling gamer trolls present.

and I wouldn't be missing much if I lost my other video tapes with DnD stuff on them. I collect this sort of thing is the main reason I want it.

Are you sure you're not talking about this show? I've never seen it, but apparently it comes on everyday at noon on my PBS station. I can't really tell from the site that any of the episodes deal with D&D though...

Between The Lions

Good luck!

Wrong show. Between the Lines is a local production of KCLS in Los Angeles, an interview program. Between the Lions is a children's show.

Now, are we ready for the quiz?

Thanks for the report. Better a neutral interview, I suppose, than another witch hunt...
