Dnd when you're bored.

I take it I'm not the only one in this, but does anyone else create characters (abiliy scores, feats, skills) during class or work when they're bored. I found myself doing it a lot during classes I thought were too easy and didn't deserve my divine attention (Who just called me conceited  ).

I would have a character in mind and then take a piece of scrap paper and start writing down stuff. I would start with the abilities, then the feats, skills, spells if s/he had them and those sorts of things. I would do this every other day or so.

Now that I stopped playing RPG's, I do it a lot less, maybe once every two weeks, just for kicks.

So how about you guys/girls/sexless aliens? Do you also create characters for fun, even though the chance of you playing them are slim?

CU.

I don't spend much time on characters- as DM I don't get to play them :( , but I tend to doodle the notes for about a half dozen different campaign worlds each week at work...then forget them for the next six months.

any npc my characters run into is likely one of 12-15 i have played with and tinkered around upon before making a choice.

rarely do the npc's i create have the stats to take off with an adventuring party, but they all have the background to stand up to years of playing.

but i do have a lot of free time.....

I used to spend half of my college and High school classes drawing out dungeons, stating NPCs and PCs alike and doodling out swords and monsters.

I've always 'thought' about characters and such. I've rarely done the drawing down of stats. Although in another forum they had that "what are your D&D stats" to which I took and ran with writing up a hole character (Cleric, cause of the 16 str,16 wis)

Now I want to PLAY this character though :/

If I had any artistic talent I'd draw too.
