Well presently i'm NOT a good player, to my great surprise. I dm a lot, and the only game in which I play is with 2 of my younger brother, a friend of them, and my gf. The DM is one of my brothers, and he have never dmed before. I could have been a lot more helpful to him, but I dont know, hes not that good yet, and when I play i dont and i think I cant give him any good advices, because I dont think its my role as a player. Also, none of the other players are very good to improvise, so I tend to get to much of the spotlight, because, well, nobody step unto it if i dont. Yeah, its hard to play with younger players some times... Anyway, after talking to my girlfriend, I've only discover my problems as a player, and i will of course try to change my attitude, next time we play. However I dont think will play for a long time, because of the numerous problems (i may be bad but im still not the only one :D). When I dm, things tend to work better. Also, in some other small games i played in (with friends, and I had not those same problems :) ) I tend to try to much to make a powerful player. You know, being the most effective rogue, trying to deal as much damage as possible, all this powergaming stuff. even if I try to roleplay him as best as i can, honest!!! :) And to add to all of this, there still more. I am the one who taught all my friends to play the game, and we have some great games most of the time. The problem is, almost nobody have read the Player Handbook!! So when another of my friends is the dm, I have to be the one who tells the other players that they cant do somethings, because "on page 16*, it says that you cant move out this treatened area and try to use your bow etc etc" I dont really have a choice, since I am the only one who knows pretty much all the rule books, but still, I guess it can be irritating to all the others, sometimes. Anyway, i dont think i am THAT bad, as beyond any hope, and will definately try to be better when (which is quite rare) i play. Shiner
