Using clear plastic film etc
"Softcover"? Hardly.

I have a handful of Chessex Dragonskin cover (purchased in the last millenium) so I used them to cover hardcover books such as my Player' Handbook.

Too bad no one wants to market something like this. After all, if a company can make money selling those Deck Protectors for TCGs, they should make money selling adjustable plastic book covers for RPGs

I cover the ones I know are going to get a lot of use, and the ones that I consider uber-favorites. All my original Talislantas got covered, fer instance. The 3E Core books are slick enough that they don't appear like they will need it, tho'.

I'm not consistant about it though and I tend to cover more of my referance books. You are reading the post of a girl who can cover a book with it's paper jacket, without cutting it, and having it still be completely openable. :D

(It's obsessive, I know.)

Did this too but now can't get them off the books!

I haven't in the past, but now that you bring it up, I think I will. You can buy rolls of acid free clear contact paper at art supply stores, so I think I'll run out and get me some. Then, I'll spend a few hours some Saturday afternoon covering all of the most useful of my D20 softcovers.

Thanks for the good idea!
