Some products use computer generated images for artwork instead of the more traditional hand drawn/painted artwork. Do you like it or not? Feel free to post explaining why/why not as well.

I want good art in my d20 products. I don't care what medium is used to create the art.

I tend to dislike CGI art, because most of it's crap. Some of the "traditional media" art in d20 products is crap, too, but it seem (to me) that the ratio of crap:quality isn't as bad.

I want to see stuff that LOOKS GOOD. Who doesn't? An artist with talent can create art with whatever medium suits him(her), whether it's a pen, paintbrush, crayon, or graphics program.

A peek on art

Well I think I will add something to the discussion mates :)

Have a look at the above thing, it is a cover I'm making and tell me what you think.

It is 100% computer generated, everything is rendered drawn and created by a mouse and the fine software application Adobe Photoshop.

Sure it is cgi made to look like hand-drawn art, but is still cgi ;)
So do you still dislike computer generated art?

Just a question :)

I think much of the problem people have with CGI is that there's so much poor graphics foating around the net.

Like Liquide showed above, it can be real good. It's just that it often is real )£@%!.

We are spared most of the real bad hand drawn art, as nobody scans it.

(BTW, Liquide, what are you doing up at this hour? It's, gosh, 3 AM here in sweden.)
