I had a couple of scouts crawl beaten and bloodied into the fort outpost, telling stories of a growing humanoid encampment in the deep forest, and the PC's were just itching to get out there and disrupt them.</p><p></p><p>Some people like to play their D&D like <em>Silence of the Lambs</em>, or <em>Insomnia</em>. Our group prefers its D&D like <em>Demolition Man</em> or <em>Collateral Damage,</em> with the occasional forays into gray morality added in.</p></blockquote><p></p>
