There is going to be a generation of D&D players whose first D&D session is going to be using material from D&D2024 over previous editions. This generation is more likely going to be their target audience than those who had played in previous editions of D&D. It happens every time a new edition comes out. I'll be content with the edition my group and I is currently using right now. 5e.
