Do You Regret Ordering Online?

I've seen several postings that basically amount of pissing and moaning about the unfairness of people getting their Buy.com/Amazon.com/Wallmart/B&N/etc... orders from the vendor even though they too ordered from that place!

If the books don't arrive when street date hits, will those of you who've ordered cancel your orders and support the local book stores? This week for Borders Rewards members it's a 30% off a $10 purchase for example and I've seen a 15% coupon for B&N customers... not to mention some stores, like Games Plus are doing a 20% off preorder.

No regrets. If I get the books this weekend or July it really doesn't matter to me. I'm hip deep in ENnies books, in a M&M game and a Buffy game. 4e is just going to have to wait its turn in Crothianland. :D

Since I'm not the normal DM for my group, and the guy that's currently running our game has no plans to switch immediately, it's really not a big deal that I'll have the 4e books for next week's game (assuming typical Amazon free shipping), but not this week's.

I am annoyed that Amazon seems to be intentionally delaying their ship date for some customers. Its Thursday and I still haven't gotten an e-mail that they shipped.

I can understand it for supersaver customers, but I paid for regular shipping. There is no reason that they couldn't have shipped earlier so that I would get the books on the 6th, other than the fact that they want you to pay extra for next day shipping. Its BS.

Well, kinda I guess. I may have to wait for a while, because the shipping to Spain takes 2-3 weeks and today, 5th, still says "Item not shipped" and I can change/cancel the order.

However, the alternative is wait till 20th, buy it at my local store (which is not friendly, not gamish) and pay 35€ for a single book.

I think I will wait and pay 43€ for all three.

yes, I regret ordering from Amazon. Today i cancelled my order because they changed my ship date from 6/9 to 7/23 for no apparent reason but they said they can't ship it before then.

So, I told the amazon to forget my order and I called the FLGS and they reserved me a copy that I can pick up at midnight tonight.

Given that my amazon price is 48% off retail (with no taxes, shipping, etc) I'm not too worried about a few days. Unfortunately, the online price is just so good.

Amazon still says that the Player's Handbook is a pre-order and hasn't been released, but I got a confirmation that mine shipped on Wednesday (and I have the free shipping option, too). Hopefully, I'll get mine by Saturday.

Mine shipped yesterday and will arrive by ups on Monday.

I don't regret a thing...because I got them for FREE.

Work gave me a bonus gift card and I could determine what the gift card was going to be....I said Barnes and Noble simply so I could get work to pay for my 4e.
