Do you think Eberron will go the way of Ghostwalk?
No, Eberron is going to stick around at least as long as Dragonlance because it isn't as out there and different from D&D as say a Dark Sun game or chunked down like Birthright was. Don't get me wrong, I like both settings and DS is a WAY cool concept, but Eberron is closer to DnD and yet still recognizable as DnD which will give it staying power probably more akin to FR than DL. DL isn't as versatile as FR and Eberron looks to be as versatile as FR and yet different enough to have its own identity. Ghostwalk is a different creature altogether though. It was meant to be one off as others have mentioned BUT it IS a complete setting, sorry to disappoint you folks. The "option" aspect seems to be tacked on as an afterthought so as to not have to provide a lot of support and make it so you can support it with other setting material more easily. I liken Ghostwalk to Dark SUn. A nice quirky setting but lacking a versatility that other more popular settings provide. I would do a campaign there, with very quick advancement but not a campaign like a great FR campaign that goes on for a year or two, possibly more, with well developed PCs. Ghostwalk=Movie, FR=T.V. Series. Jason
