iPad 1, 64GB 3G with Goodreader, pdfs galore. I have but rarely use the the PF Reference document anymore. Accessing the d20PFSRD is a better bet if the local pdfs aren't doing it for me. I also use Apple's Pages Wordprocessing App on the iPad. I have a LOT of great things to say about this app. Well worth the $9.99. Big Thumbs Up for that one. I picked up my iPad "used" just after the iPad 2 was released in the USA (but the week before it was released here in Canada) off of Craigslist for $500, all-in, which included an Apple rubber folio case for the iPad. I say "used" as it was NIB, in original packaging with the screen protector acetate still on the device. It had maybe 1 or 2 hours of use on it. I use my iPad everyday. It is an awesome ebook reader (iBooks is good, but Kindle App for iPad is top notch and is even better, imo), great movie player, great surfing the web tablet and is actually a better iPod than my iPod Touch in terms of sound quality (and volume). Plants vs. Zombie on the iPad is an awesome game :) Oh, the Bookman app for reading Comic Books on the iPad is pretty damn rockin too. I'm not sure I would drop $1,000.00 for a new iPad 2, but for a fully loaded iPad 1? $500 was an awesome deal. When the iPad 3 or 4 hits, I will doubtless upgrade at that time. I'm sold on my iPad. This device is not a fad and I do not expect I will ever be without a tablet again in the forseeable future. Best part? Small and unobtrusive for taking notes during client meetings, and the battery power means it lasts all day long. I can't promise that you will love your iPad as much as I am attached to mine, but I can assure you that as a gaming gadget, the iPad makes the grade -- and then some.
