Here is a weaker version of the vampire template I created some time ago. With a few modifications it might make for a half-vampire. I would probably drop create vampire, the loss of the Con stat, and HD increase. Vampire Template Creating a Vampire: "Vampire" is a template that ca be added to any humanoid or monsterous humanoid creature (referred to hereafter as the "base creature"). The creature's type changes to "undead". It uses all the base creature's statistics and special abilities except as noted here. Hit Dice: Increase to d12 Speed: Same as base creature AC: Same a base creature Attacks: A vampire retains all the atacks of the base creature. Damage: As base creature. Special Attacks: A vampire retains all the special attacks of the base creature and also gains those listed below. Charm Person (Su): 1/day a vampire may use Charm Person as though he where as sorcerer equal to his hit dice. Treat as a gaze attack that requires a standard action out to a range of 30ft. Blood Drain (Ex): A vampire can suck blood for a living victim with its fangs by making a successful grapple check. If it pins the foe, it drains blood, inflicting 1 point of temporary Constitution drain every round the pin is maintained. (This ability only works on creatures that actually have blood, as a rule of thumb if the creature is immune to critical hits, it is immune to this ability.) Create Vampire (Su): If the vampire drains the victim's Constitution to 0 or less, the victim returns as a vampire. This new vampire is not under the control of vampire that created it, but rather free-willed. Special Qualities: Dark Vision 60' weaknesses---- Daylight Aversion: During the daytime vampires suffer a -1 to all rolls, in bright sunlight and withing the radius of a Daylight spell vampires suffer and additional -1 to all their rolls. Hunger: A vampire cannot go more than 1 day without Draining at least 2 points of Con worth of blood from another creature (it must be a creature that possess blood, see blood draining). If they do not feed then they suffer 1d6 points of damage an hour until they do and are considered fatigued. Saves: Same as the base creature Abilities: Increase from the base creatue as follows: Str +2. As undead creatures, vampires have no constition score (if this template is taken during character creation roll 4d6 5 times instead of 6). Skills: Same as the base creature. Feats: Same as the base creature.
