Does Detect Scrying only work on the caster?

Say you cast Detect Scrying. The spell says that "You immediately become aware of any atempt to observe you by means of Clairaudience/Clairvoyance or Scrying." (Bolding mine)

If somebody Scrys a fellow party member who is within the 120 R area of effect, do you detect it or does it only work if they Scry you personally? The Scrying spell doesn't have an Area (which would presumably be a single creature) but instead has an Effect (Magical Sensor). But the spell then goes on to talk about a specific creature that must be the target of your attempt.

It seems to me that Detect Scrying would alert you if a "magical sensor" appeared anywhere within the area of effect. What do you think?

I think I would allow it to detect any magical sensor within range. That allows the spell to be more effective in general. Maximizing party resources for the benefit of everyone seems like a good idea. Otherwise, you end up with situations where people scry the party fighter because it is unlikely that the fighter will detect the attempt.
