Does Dwarven Forge have sales?

Hi Everyone,

About every 4-5 months, I ponder buying some Dwarven Forge stuff. "Maybe if I go halves with my brother and we buy one set every three months, we'll be able to do it!"

The stuff is so cool, but it's so expensive as well! Is there any store out there that sells DF stuff at a lower price? Just curious, so until then, I'll just wait and use my imagination during battles. :)

Game Keeper

If you've got a local Game Keeper, all of their non-WotC RPG products are on sale right now as they clear out their non-WotC inventory. In my local store, that includes Dwarven Forge stuff. If you're lucky, they may still have some left.

I got mine at discount prices on e-bay.

Make sure you are comfortable with the shipping costs of these pieces before bidding on anything. These things are heavy and after adding shipping costs you might be paying more than you did if you had purchased them at retail.

BTW, the link to The Travelling Mage - has retail prices. There are no discounts there.

I would highly recommend the World Works stuff Velik mentioned. You can create as much of it as you want by just printing more. It will definitely be cheaper than Dwarven Forge.

So this stuff is a PDF that you print out and then fold up and glue?

Yes. I believe they have four sets in production currently:

Dungeons
Village
Castle
Caves

The cool thing about them is that if you ever what to expand your terrain all you need to do is print some more.

Even considering the price of replacement inkjet cartridges for most printers these sets will be cheaper to print and assemble than dwarven forge sets.

I know my FLGS sells them for somewhere around 20-25% off retail price...but even that is damn expensive. :( Oh well. One of these days I'll be rich.
