if one character is invisible, and another has tremorsense, the one with tremorsense can find them, but does this defeat the 50% miss chance associated with attacking someone who is invisible?
No. Just like Blindsense, it allows you to pinpoint the square they are in, but not their exact position.cool hand luke said:if one character is invisible, and another has tremorsense, the one with tremorsense can find them, but does this defeat the 50% miss chance associated with attacking someone who is invisible?
I agree. I used to think that Scent acted like a 5' radius blindsight, because it allows you to automatically pinpoint someones position if they are within 5 feet. The Souljourner said:Pinpoint was a poor choice of words, in my opinion. A 5' x 5' square is a heck of a large pin point. They should have just said "you know what square they're in".

Unless of course they are incorporeal (or ethereal for those on the Prime Material plane). From the 3.5 SRD (my emphasis):Caliban said:I agree. I used to think that Scent acted like a 5' radius blindsight, because it allows you to automatically pinpoint someones position if they are within 5 feet.
orIncorporeal creatures do not leave footprints, have no scent, and make no noise unless they manifest, and even then they only make noise intentionally.
Ethereal creatures are invisible, inaudible, insubstantial, and scentless to creatures on the Material Plane.
