Does WOTC's product listings irk anyone?

After experimenting many times with their product listings, I have to spit it out. I hate their product listings. As in, the format it is done in.

There is absolutely **no** way I can just view the D&D products (ie supplements and accessories). If I select D&D it will just give the novels as well, which I don't want. If I select Accessories, it leaves out alot of other stuff. If I go by year... you get the drift.

Does it irk anyone the way it raises my hair? The only way I get to see the products is on the main page, and it only covers last month/this month/next month. If not, I have to manually scan through it on their product listings.

The way it's done... it's as if they're either trying to drive sales of their novels, or irritate the hell out of rpg-only players.

If you click the column header for Type in the product listing, it will group all the products of the same type together. That groups the list into Accessories, Adventures, Anthologies, Core Game Products, and Novels. The novels are all at the bottom, and everything else but the anthologies are gaming products.

NO!!! You mean you think they might hope a novel catches your interest? That... that would be... marketing!

It's kind of annoying but I got over it. What you do is select D&D stuff, and then when you've got the result you click on the top of the column showing product types (Accessories, Novels etc). It will reorganize all D&D products by product types. Which is cool.

Yep, that's marketing.

...and it's annoying. But I live with annoying marketing all the time, so I'm used to it.

I hate the Wizard Product Guide.

In fact, they cost themselves several hundred bucks since the re-organized a few years ago.

I used to be able to check it Month by Month & then plan my purchases a month in advance.

Since they went to Year at a glance & taken the Filtering away from me, I find it pretty much useless.

This is the reason I'm no longer buying FR stuff (I now run my own campaign world, but still like FR). I didn't have the cash saved up to buy something, so I didn't. It sort of broke the cycle of me getting every FR product for the past 8 years. Even though I've got the cash now, I have no interest in going back & picking them up.

Not having a Month by Month guide is just silly. If it isn't mentioned on this board or in the store, I'm not going to see it, as their On-Line Catalog is just a pain in the rear to use.
