I have a group of five that wouldn't run a game under 3.x, but recently we switched to C&C and all ran at least one game before our last campaign ended(we're actually gearing up to start a new one this sunday). The funny thing is I have played with this group for years AD&D and D&D 3.5 and they never wanted to run a game until we switched. In the new campaign we will be switching off regularly. No no one's been banned. No, not unless they eat all the snacks and never bring any:lol: . No seriously I believe roleplaying games can often be hard enough, for new people especially, to just grok the basics of playing. When they realize the commtiment and memorization necessary to run a game, I think for some it doesn't seem fun and becomes a chore. For others it is their thing. Basically different strokes for different folks. Maybe, but there could be other reasons if this is happening. Continuity of game, They don't enjoy playing etc. Defintiely a depends on the person question. I think it does, my players usually rely on me to explain and keep track of most of the rules. But after people ran their C&C games they seemed to have a better understanding and comprehension of how things work when they went back to playing. It also made them realize the work involved in running games. I think so, after going so long without actually playing, it helped me to get better perspective on what is "fun" for my players. It also allowed me to show them(through use of my PC) that they weren't limited to whatever hooks I threw out there but could actually create and pursue personal goals for their PC' s in the campaign. I don't really know why they always seemed reluctant to do this?
