Monday night D&D game: No couples. Tusday Night Game: 3 couples, 1 married 4.5 years (me), one married 1.5 years, 1 dating 7 years. Wednesday Night Game: 2 couples (married from above). Thursday Night Game: 1 couple, dating 1 year. Friday night game (mine): 3 couples (all from above). The only married or long term dating friend I had who was with a non-gamer divorced a couple of years ago. Most of my friends have gaming SOs (just looking for 2 really great guys.. any volunteers? :) ), and most couples (not all) game together at least part of the time. My wife and I met at a gaming convention about 8 years ago, and again a year later at a friend's party of all gamers. We like some different games (she's a huge Amber fan) and we have different styles. Recently, I've finally convinced her to try running games occasionally. I couldn't imagine being with someone who didn't game. It's both our prime (but not only) hobby, and we share it together. She plays in the same games with me Tuesday (where she runs biweekly), Wednesday, and Friday. I have noticed that it is primarily the female gamers in our games who demand at the beginning of sessions on Friday nights that there had better be combat, or real blood will flow. My wife also plays a big thumpy Half-Orc Paladin who is the front line on her own, on the alternate Tuesdays that she doesn't run. Life is good. --Seule
