Even if you are not interested in the money, it would allow the gaming mementos to be distributed as you see fit and appropriately handled (as part of your "fee"). This ends up being a lot of work; I don't suggest this for everyone, but you seem to have been very close.  Talk with a lawyer if you feel this may be the right option.  It may allow you to work closer with the law enforcement to find the family and see that the right things are done.</blockquote>
