Downloadable Index

I am aware of a number of Dragon Magazine indexes online at various sites. What I am curious about is if anyone has a downloadable index available, either in Excel or Word or something? I'm really only looking for thre 3.5 articles, but I could adapt it.

Any info would be appreciated, my google-fu is lacking this morrow.

I have one that I am making for my own use, and would be happy to share it with folks. I don't know how helpful the design of it is, as I did it for me, but with the Find function of Excel, it's worked really well for me.

Let me set it up for DL on my comcast space and I'll repost a link.

(I just started to do the same thing with Dungeon.)

That's pretty cool! Thanks to the long holiday weekend here my wife and I sat by the computer and started our own, but it's likely not something many would find useful. I'm not logging comics or fiction or anything of that sort. We're logging articles that will help DMs in adventure building and articles helping PCs with character building or levelling. Others aren't even mentioned.

Basically I realize I use Dragon every month, as it comes in, but I can only use a very small portion of it because you can't use everything! An I simply lost track of where I saw "such-n-such" article and hunting through them would have been murder. So the index we're doing is more of a "Dragon as big rulebook" variety.

I made a simple index for my own personal use. It covers issues 275 to 346 (I haven't gotten around to indexing the last three or four issues, but plan to be doing that this week). Oh, plus a solitary reference to issue 245 for some reason, and a couple from Annual #5. It's not complete as regards contents, but is more of an index of "stuff I thought was cool" from the various issues. All the main stuff (from my perspective) is there ;). Please find attached - if anyone likes it, I'll post an updated version when I add the latest issues.

It's organised by issue, category (spells, prestige classes, monsters, classes etc) and description (fighter style feats, for example). The descriptions have been worded with the main keyword at the start, so if you sort by description, all the fighter articles clump together, as do all the ones on dragons, all the ones on alchemical gear etc etc. I found this pretty handy. (Oh, and there are a couple of notes scattered here and there throughout the index - these relate to my homebrew, so just ignore 'em :) ).

That aside, I always recommend The Dragondex as the best online index. You can copy/paste its contents and then search for the article that you need, or just use it as-is. Great stuff.
