I'll chime in that I found issue 301 to be one of the best in a while. The campaign components may not have impressed Ghoti much, but they were quite nice, to me. The 'campaign components' are exactly the kind of thing I like Dragon to provide to me: an game/rules analog to Dungeon's content. I buy Dragon for new ideas, crunchy or otherwise. The swashbuckler article, the bard article and some of the others were very well received on my end. I even enjoyed the Ecology of the Troll article, and I detest 'ecology' articles, generally speaking. But this ecology article actually gave me more material to work with, and had cruncy bits besides. Even though my group had already created a fireball template, this one is greatly appreciated...the listing of spells it applies to on the back is extremely cool, IMHO. Ghoti, I'm curious what you would like to see in Dragon, if this particular issue didn't appeal to you. If you had pointed to the Drow issue and said 'Worst. Issue. Ever.', I might have been more inclined to agree with you. What would you like to see Paizo producing instead? Could you point to a particular issue from the past as one of the better issues, to you? And MtM, I have to agree with you. I thought Betrayl at Krondor was overrated, as well. That it had text from Feist was interesting, but as a game, I didn't think it was anything spectacular...just wordy.
