I just got my copy of #314. It as a pretty good cover of yet_ _another _elf in a contorted position :) This issue's got some cool elemental organizations, but personally, I'm getting bored with the whole 'elemental' thing. Ohhh, 4 elements. J.C., I hope my DM doesn't put yet another over-simplified "elemental" theme in the campaign. There are definately some cool spells and organizations however, so I may withdraw my comments regarding the Elemental Cliche' if these things pan out well. The elements of dirt, moisture, toots, and burning-sensation are presented. They're of course ommiting the real-world oriental element of wood..but simplicity is probably best in this hobby ;) PSIONICS revised is pretty much laid out and makes me excited for the new book! They're calling it "Expanded Psionics Handbook" instead of "Revised." Does anybody know the real reason? Anyway, they've expanded the races and powers and increased the page count. Should be interesting. It's nice enough already that Psionics WORKS WITH D&D instead of against it, now if they're going to improve it further, that's great! p.95 also has an ad for CONAN RPG by Mongoose. Not much more than a quote from an REH book, but enticing nonetheless. I'm impressed with one article by C. Horowitz called HEROES OF MIGHT AN DMAGIC IV, MAGIC ITEM SETS. it show's a progression of a couple magicl items. Whether or not this has been playtested remains to be seen however :) I also noticed that Dragon posted a LOT of negative letters this issue. I've not seen that many letters before. What's the deal? jh ..
