Doesn't "plate" imply metal?FWIW, in my own campaigns, dragon hide can be converted into really really intense magical leather (+15 or so) that grants automatic saves for those who would ordinarily have failed the save (against the breath weapon of the appropriate dragon), and zero damage to those who do make their saving throws. It's not stiff either, so rogues and such can use it in the way they use regular leather.I mean, I can imagine the leather being strapped around shields (already wood or metal), but I just cannot fathom "plate mail" derived from dragon hide. Next you'll be telling me it's the actual bones that are somehow "forged" into breastplates. Please enlighten me! Thanks!</blockquote>
