You only really need to be familiar with the rules you are using right now. However you seem to have a fundamental difficulty understanding what it is to have a DM whom you trust such that you can expect him not to work against you without you controlling him. I have taken umbrage at being described as a homicidal cult follower, and by defending my position I am hypocritical. I recommend you learn what the word means. Rubbish.
